I am finally getting around to sharing a new brand look I pitched last year and finally got to see it come to fruition recently. Back in December I was asked to come up with the concept and visual look for a new branch of the Becky Higgins brand. Becky has long-time been a product creator and has been immersed in the world of memory keeping. She is also a creative that I love getting to collaborate with. Just last year she had the opportunity to extend her brand into the home and lifestyle realm so we got right to work. We wanted to pull in the existing branding her company had in regards to color and clean style, but give it a fresh spin and it’s own unique look. I created several different looks that would give us that home and lifestyle feel while creating a great connection to the existing brand:
And the final logo design that we felt was the best fit… #TaDa!
It still makes me happy whenever I see it. Next up was the design of the product labels that would grace the very first product of the new brand – wrapping paper. And this isn’t just any wrapping paper, it’s StoneWrap. Nearly indestructible, doesn’t tear when you wrap gifts and it has the most buttery and luxurious feel. Definitely addicting and I am stockpiling what I can while it’s available. The coolest part is that the patterns that are used is from artwork from the original Project Life® product line. So you won’t see these patterns anywhere else. I designed the following labels to grace the product packaging:
And once we had waited on the edge of our seats for what seemed to be an eternity, the first round of wrapping paper were manufactured and sent over to begin the really fun work of photographing branding, marketing and product imagery as well as designing promotional materials. This part is the cherry on top of all of the hard work behind the scenes that no one gets to usually see:
And if you are dying to get your hands on this wrapping paper, you can do so here and thank me later. Enjoy!
