I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Mitch Vaughan, an extremely talented videographer in Virginia and husband to Megan Vaughan, who came to me to develop the logo and website design for Mitch Vaughan Productions. We of course wanted something that was masculine and a bit more rustic, but not lose sight of a high end feel as to continue to attract brides and grooms looking to invest in their wedding day cinematography.
We began with his brand inspiration and curated a look that compliments his work and allows for his brand to exude that woodsy and manly type of vibe. A deeper color scheme, softened with a shade of soft grey and cream.
Next up was the design of Mitch’s logo. From antlers to oars, the concepts were created using rustic elements and finished off with a more traditional font.
And the final look was exactly what we had envisioned. Following his brand style and logo design, we moved into the custom design of his ShowIt 5 website. We wanted something unique, but make a big impact for all potential clients who visit. Larger imagery, unexpected rustic elements sprinkled throughout the site with a moodier and darker finish. A complimentary custom mobile site was also created to ensure that Mitch’s audience is getting the best experience no matter what device they view his website on.
