From my beginning days as a blogger and being brand new to everything, I would fly by the seat of my pants. I would blog what I wanted, when I wanted and nothing had a plan. Nothing was really organized. As time went on, as I saw my traffic count increase, as I started to receive comments or emails from readers asking when I might share about “fill in the blank” (wait, what? I have readers?!), it started to dawn on me. That blogging was a true part of my business model, that I could make a career out of it and that it deserved my upmost attention and respect as I had done with other facets of my brand and business. So what’s a girl to do? Well, this girl and what I had already made a habit of doing when I needed something – a tool, a design – something for my business, I just made it myself. And that’s what I did. I sat down and wrote down and sketched out exactly what I thought I needed for the ultimate organization when planning, prepping and executing my content for my blog. And that is when The Blog Planner was born and it has been purchased, downloaded and enjoyed by so many. So today, wanted to make sure and get you familiar and comfortable with The 2018 Blog Planner that was released in early November and is available now in the Kara Layne & Co. shop!
The 2018 Blog Planner includes 33 printable worksheets in all. I absolutely love the simple and editorial style design of it all and I love that it truly creates a wonderful tool when organized and developed into a planner. You can see my process for setting up my blog planner back at this post right here.
I think the most fantastic part with the updates to the 2018 Blog Planner is that the calendar is A) pre-filled out for you for the entire year, B) it includes tips on suggested deadlines and holiday content for you to learn when to have your content prepared and ready by for your audience to enjoy, and C) the monthly view worksheets now come as PSD files for you to add in YOUR own important deadlines, choice of holidays, annual sales you might hold, etc.
The 2018 Blog Planner includes a worksheet to cover everything that you do or will encounter in your blogging career. You’ll find worksheets for the following things:
I have truly packed this thing as full as I can and so far I already have a list of five new things for next year’s planner. My goal is to continue to make it better and bigger to do the job I have always envisioned it doing.
Another exciting addition to the 2018 Blog Planner is the ‘7 Steps to a Killer Content Calendar’. Sometimes it can be overwhelming when you sit down and stare out at the abyss that is twelve months to plan content for. And, of course, you want to do it right. So I have laid out simple and easy steps to walk you through how to get started to get your calendar filled in and manageable.
Watch the video below to get an even closer look into the blog planner, hop over to the shop and snag it for yourself (yes, it is an immediate download!), print it out, get organized and then be sure and follow the studio over on Instagram where I will share all about how I am using my blog planner and tips along the way over the course of the year and especially right now as I plan out all of my upcoming content.
P.S. Videos on the blog and from a mobile device aren’t playing well with each other at the moment. So if you are reading this from your mobile device, click here to view the video directly on my YouTube channel!
Cheers to a new year and creating amazing content!
