When Keri came to me she expressed a vision for creating an online extension of their physical salon. Their salon was in the process of moving locations to a bigger and better spot and she wanted their online presence to exude the welcoming and high end feel that their customers are greeted with when they walk through the front doors. She explained that their new space would be industrial, yet inviting, modern, yet warm. Keri wanted a brand presence that fit their salon. Today I am giving you an in-depth look into the branding and design for Michael Thomas Salon, a gorgeous east coast salon in New Hampshire with an amazing team of artists.
Here’s what Keri had to say about our collaboration:
We began our project on Pinterest and pulling any and all visuals that helped me get a look into what Keri had in mind for Michael Thomas. We jumped into logo design concepts and while we experimented with both bold and modern as well as traditional and classic I think the final design that Keri fell in love was the perfect fit – a high end, yet inviting feel.
Once we had the face of Michael Thomas finalized and knew the overall aesthetic and vibe of Keri’s brand styling, we then dove right into the website design. I built out a custom ShowIt 5 website design that is simple, easy to navigate, informative and aesthetically pleasing. Keri had a desire to have a website that wasn’t your typical, run-of-the-mill salon website.
Towards the tail-end of our collaboration and launching their re-brand and online presence, the Michael Thomas team moved into their new space in Manchester, New Hampshire. Isn’t is gorgeous?
And I loved that Keri added on some flat lay imagery to her investment to give their website even more of a unique feel and to inform potential clients of their quality and extent of service in a very artistic way. Keri shipped out boxes of product to my studio here that they carry in their salon and i got right to work curating a handful of flat lay imagery that fit their brand aesthetic and added a little pop to their online experience.
If you are in the Manchester area, be sure and look up the amazing team at Michael Thomas Salon. And give Miss Keri a big ol’ hug for me! It was such a joy to collaborate with her and I cannot wait to see the growth she and the team experience in the very near future!
